Owners Araceli and Richard are combining the years of experience in different yet related fields and their passions to create Rue Lafayette.
Life long Francophil, Araceli is a Fashion Designer. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, living in Argentina and Italy worked for United Colors of Benetton in Milan, Italy. Araceli spent 15 years in the heart of San Francisco Designing for Levi Strauss. Richard is a St. Louis native and is in the label and packaging industry and has a background in History, and a many years of collecting Art and Antiques. As a Social Historian, Richard has published his articles in many publications. His niche is early St. Louis documents, art and advertising. Our Mission:
Rue Lafayette is a place to relax, socialize and enjoy life. There is unique seating throughout the Café as well as in the Boutique along with Patio seating. Our shop offers Antiques, Jewelery, French Soaps, Scented Candles, Books and Home Decor. Our merchandise is always changing. A place to bring a friend or meet new ones! There are private areas ideal for meetings or romantic dates and comfy couches to read, work on your computer or simply relax and enjoy the “joie de vivre”.

Sight: Eat or shop while enjoying gorgeous views of Historic Lafayette Park along with ever-changing décor and merchandise in the Boutique.
Aroma: You will be surrounded in delicious aromas from our rich coffee, delectable food and fragrant candles and soaps from Provence.

Taste: We believe in top quality without shortcuts. Our coffee is from San Francisco’s Caffe Trieste roasters. Our Croissants are imported from Paris for a truly Authentic Parisian experience. Our meats and produce are from local farms for the freshest taste. Wines are International to add to your eclectic experience.
